About Our Practice
A Practice Built on Careful Listening and Considered Advice
Family law touches the most personal dimensions of people's lives. We founded Jasmine Legal to offer counsel that matches the weight of those moments.

How Jasmine Legal Came to Be
Jasmine Legal was established in Bangkok by legal professionals who had spent years working on family matters within larger practices, and who shared a quiet dissatisfaction with how those matters were often handled — quickly, impersonally, and without the attention the situations deserved.
The name was chosen deliberately. In Thai tradition, the jasmine flower is associated with respect, devotion, and the bonds of family. It felt like an honest name for a practice whose daily work involves some of the most significant and tender aspects of people's lives.
We serve individuals — Thai nationals, expatriates, and international clients with connections to Thailand — who need legal clarity on family documentation, questions of family contact, or sustained counsel through lengthy processes such as separation and property resolution.
Our approach is unhurried. We take the time to read carefully, advise honestly, and accompany our clients through each step at a pace that respects their own comfort and readiness.
Our Mission
What We Are Here to Do
Our mission is straightforward: to give individuals facing family legal questions access to thoughtful, well-informed advice — delivered without pressure, without jargon, and with full respect for the personal context of each situation.
We do not specialise in volume. We specialise in quality of attention. Each client receives time, and each matter receives the kind of careful reading that a document or a situation actually requires.

Every engagement at Jasmine Legal is governed by a consistent set of principles that protect clients and maintain the quality of our work.
Thai Bar Association Compliance
All counsel work is conducted in accordance with the professional standards of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and applicable bar regulations.
Client Confidentiality Protocol
All information shared during appointments is held under professional duty of confidentiality. Disclosure to any third party requires explicit client consent.
Written Summary Standard
Every document review and counsel appointment concludes with a written summary prepared for the client — a formal record of what was discussed and what it means for their situation.
Regular Matter Review
For ongoing engagements, we hold scheduled review meetings at agreed intervals to confirm priorities, review progress, and adjust the counsel approach as matters develop.
Bilingual Capability
We work in English as our primary language of practice and can accommodate clients who prefer Thai. All written summaries and formal documents are available in both languages.
Clear Fee Communication
Service fees are communicated in full before any engagement begins. There are no hidden costs. Clients always know what they will pay and what that payment covers.
Our Expertise
Family Law Counsel in Bangkok — What Sets Our Approach Apart
Family legal matters in Thailand occupy a particular space. The Civil and Commercial Code governs marriage, parental authority, and succession, while court proceedings are conducted in Thai. For clients who are not fluent in Thai — including many expatriates and internationally connected families — this creates a layer of complexity that sits on top of an already sensitive personal situation.
Jasmine Legal works at this intersection. We read Thai legal documents carefully and present their meaning in clear English. We understand how court orders from other jurisdictions — Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and elsewhere — interact with Thai legal frameworks. And we know how Thai family courts approach questions of parental and extended family contact when formal submissions are required.
Our client base includes Thai nationals navigating complex separations, expatriates seeking to understand agreements they have been presented with, grandparents and extended family members with concerns about contact, and individuals who simply want an independent review of documents before they decide on next steps.
We do not position ourselves as the largest or the fastest. We position ourselves as thorough and careful — and we believe those qualities matter more in family law than anywhere else.
